Canada Mink Breeders Association (CMBA) is a partial owner of North American Fur Auctions Inc., and a not for profit association formed in 1952. The CMBA's goal is to ensure the permanent prosperity of the Canadian mink farming industry; its members are Canadian mink farmers that support the Association through a levy on pelts sold at auction. CMBA provides leadership in research, best farming practices, marketing, and promotion of the interests of the fur farming sector nationally and internationally.
CMBA assists provincial associations with educational forums, speakers, and financial assistance. CMBA is active with other Canadian livestock producers, holding membership in the National Farm Animal Care Council (NFACC) and the Canadian Animal Health Coalition (CAHC).
