Since our last update, the auctions in Europe have concluded and the market continues to show improvement in most cases. This market trend continues to be fully in line with our Fall Forecast. Again, all of this is important, as our largest wild fur sale of the year will be held at the beginning of May.
The international fashion houses have been very active in trimming articles like coyote, better red fox, grey fox, lynx cat, fisher and sable, which are all continuing to have strong demand. In the fashion world, one of the largest users of coyote as trim, Canada Goose, had a very successful IPO last week, where a percentage of their shares were sold to the public in both the Toronto and New York stock exchanges.
For all of our wild fur producers, it is important to work together with the fashion houses, so that they can help us obtain better prices for some of the articles that are left behind.
