Kopenhagen Fur’s final offering of the season of 7.9 million ranch mink showed a continuing weakness in the market for ranch mink. Breeders and lowgrades sold 100%, with declining prices. Regular mink only sold 40%.
The overproduction of ranch mink will have a negative effect on most of our wild fur articles. We will now have to wait and see how Mother Winter will treat us.
North American Fur Auctions intends to do everything it possibly can to sell the remainder of our unsold inventories and with that in mind, samples have been shipped to China and workshops are being planned for this Fall. Rob Cahill, NAFA’s Senior VP Marketing, left for China today, to start NAFA’s Fall promotional activities.
We will keep you posted.
