April 10, 2016

NAFA’s April auction concluded with the sale of Black and Mahogany male mink, which sold at 100%.

Today’s sale demonstrated the worldwide recognition of Black NAFA as the finest mink in the world, sold under the most desirable label. Buyers clearly recognize the refinement of NAFA’s superior assortment in our collections of both Black and Mahogany mink.

The sale of Black male mink, including Black NAFA, was very strong with prices advancing upwards of 10% over those achieved at recent international auctions. China dominated the bidding, with excellent support from Greece.

Mahogany males also sold very well, once again, advancing 10% over recent sales.

NAFA is proud to have sold 100% of its 5.2 million mink offering. Daily bidding was both energetic and competitive, resulting in firm to advancing prices for all mink. NAFA was successful in attracting very strong buyer attendance from all markets, including in numerous bidding centres throughout China, where buyers were able to participate through NAFA’s state-of-the-art high-speed, online auction service.

The results of this sale should have a positive effect on the industry going forward.
