Black NAFA Dazzles at Chapeau Fair, Moscow
Over three hundred exhibitors gathered in Moscow for the 10th anniversary of the annual Chapeau Fur Fair held on August 20th to the 23rd. Fair organizers announced that more than six thousand people attended this year’s special anniversary exhibition; NAFA was front and center throughout the fair.
NAFA received accolades for organizing a special lottery at the Chapeau Ball, featuring an array of fashion items for Ball attendees. The lottery and Ball were held immediately following the fair on August 24th and, by far, the item that garnered the most attention was a stunning Black NAFA mink jacket by Izzy Camilleri. This impressive and exquisite piece was the grand prize and, as the time approached for the winner to be announced, a buzz of excitement swept the crowd. The coveted coat was won by a Russian celebrity, Natalia Bystrova, who has starred in many Broadway musicals in Moscow, including Mamma Mia and the Sound of Music. Local reporters were on hand to snap pictures of the local star in her dazzling new Black NAFA mink jacket. Many stories and editorials are expected over the course of the next few weeks as the media prepares its reports on the event.
This year’s 10th anniversary of the Chapeau fair was considered a success and the prominence of Black NAFA throughout the event demonstrates the strength of our highly prized furs and labels.
